Process of Improving and Expanding My Instructional Repertoire
As a teacher, it is imperative to continue growing and learning along with your students. There are always ways we can improve, and through my time at MSU and my field experience at Grandville High School, I was able to expand my instructional repertoire by implementing a new strategy to solve a problem I was finding with my students.

Social Studies Education
What I love about social studies education is the fact that it implies that a myriad of subjects are involved. What I love doing is seeing how various subjects connect to one another and help each other become more understandable as you study the subjects more. Believe it or not, geography, economics, history, psychology, and political science can easily be discussed in one lesson in order to understand the broader picture of an event, person, or place.
With a social studies endorsement, I am certified to teach civics and economics, and as a history teacher, it is something that I do every day in class.
